Term 1 Progress Notices
POST on Tuesday - October 9th!
Term 1: Your Progress Notice is based on:
Activity Time (typing time & tests are up to date),
All Make Up Work (typing time) is complete,
Classroom Performance/Conduct is stellar,
Listening Skills/Follows Directions,
(You communicate with the teacher if absent or falling behind).
Task 1: Typing.com Warm-Up
Students will improve typing ability using proper keyboarding technique and stretching using a 10 minute warm up on Typing.com.
Check to make sure you have all minutes required to Pass this Course.

What is due for TYPING?
Typing Activity Due:
All Time = 80 minutes (1 hour 20 mins) or more.
Typing Tests Due:
15 or more (1 minute Typing Tests)

Task 2: IC & Email Check
Taking Care of Business - 5 Minutes ONLY!
- Take 5 minutes to review your email and Infinite Campus Account.
- Ask for assistance if needed.
Task 3: Downtime... READ Below!!!
If you finish...
your 10 Minutes of Typing and the Three (1 min.) Tests, ALL typing is caught up, you've checked Email and your Infinite Campus,
... then you can use games or work on homework while the class finishes typing. Once everyone is caught up, we will have a Teacher Directed Lesson
Task 4: Split Screen Feature
•Students will review the basic shortcut and hot keys to allow them to do research on the Internet and a word processor more effectively.
Important keys: (Start Button, CTRL, ALT & Windows Key))
•Students will review the process of toggling between windows using shortcut keys.

Saving to a Network Drive
Step 1: Download the file, below these in instructions. (See green arrow.)
Click the ENABLE EDITING BUTTON, if you can't see it, ASK MS. BROWN
Step 2: Save the downloaded file to the network/student drive.
Step 3: Move it into the WORD Folder of the CompApps Folder on your student/network drive. (see photo example, framed below in red.)
Step 4: Ask if you do not understand ANY of these tasks.!
