Task 1: Typing.com Warm-Up
Typing Activity Due at This Time
Typing Activity Due:
All Time = 100 minutes (1 hour 40 mins) or more.
Typing Tests Due:
20 or more (1 minute Typing Test)
Each Class. ALL Students, will...
Complete at least 5 minutes of Lessons
and only ONE (1 Minute) Typing Test for today's date.
Students will improve typing ability using proper keyboarding technique and stretching using a 10 minute warm up on Typing.com.
MESSAGE TO STUDENTS:
* Remember if you are absent you must make up your typing lessons.
* If you own a computer with Internet Access, practice typing at home.
* Brockton Public Library is always and option to make up Typing work.
Make up work on YOUR TIME!
If it does not get finished in class.
* Remember if you are absent you must make up your assignments.
* Use Study to make up missing or incomplete work.
* Ask how to use OFFICE 365 at HOME or at the Brockton Public Library
Task 2: Taking Care of Business
Students will increase their understanding of the importance to advocate for themselves in verifying grade status, make up work, communication with teachers, confirming attendance accuracy and managing a behavior report.
Students will review logging in to district assigned email as well as understand proper etiquette when communicating via district assigned portals.

Highlight Tool vs Select Text: Clarification
Objective: Students will reinforce their knowledge of the difference of highlight tool/pen versus selecting text.
A. Selecting Text
Students, click the button to view the GIF,

When Ms. Brown asks you to highlight text, she is referring to the action shown in the GIF animated image above you just viewed.
Shortcut Keys to Select Text:
Shortcut 1: CTRL + A = Selecting Text
Shortcut 2: SHIFT KEY + Arrow Keys (arrow up, down, right and left)
B. Highlight Text w/Highlight Tool
What does it mean to Highlight?
Highlight refers to any of the following methods. . .
-When highlighting text, the selected text colors reverse, show as blue, have dots around the selection, or have bold lines around the selected text.
-Highlighting text allows a user to move, copy, or cut that selected text.
-Highlighting an object such as an icon also allows it to be cut, copied, deleted, moved, viewed, opened, or otherwise manipulate.
This is the location of the Highlight Tool/Pen
found in MS Word.
