Task 2: Create Bookmarks
Students need to recreate their bookmarks on Google to the Frequently Used Sites for Comp Apps Class.
Task 3: Class Practice & Policy
Instructions:
Click the link and it will guide you to a form.
Here you will review each of the 3 policies, then click YES to verify you have reviewed the policy or practice.
Using Microsoft Forms, students will review the three items below:
1. Make-Up Work Policy
2. Help Cards: Use & Purpose
3. Buy Back & Attendance Policy
Once reviewed, complete the form and click SUBMIT.
Task 4: Typing Warm-Up
Instructions: Students will do 5 minutes of Typing Warm Up using the Lessons Portion (Beginner or Intermediate) of Typing.com.
*** If you do not remember how to log in, see the teacher right away! Do NOT create a new account!***
a. Students will type for 5 minutes on the lessons portion of Typing.com (Beginner or Intermediate).
b. See below image on how to track your 5 minutes. Or ask the teacher how to set this up.
c. Student may pause after a drill, taking a quick/short break. Stretch and resume typing.

Task 5: Finish Career Prep and Tech Readiness
a. Career Prep
Instructions: In your Typing.com account click the Career Prep Tab to access the 7 modules, covering Workplace Technology & Professionalism.
If you were absent last class or did not finish the Workplace & Technology modules, you will finish them today.
- Students will complete all modules at their own pace.
- Students can re-take modules to try to receive a better score.
- If you did complete all 7 modules, go to Step b.
b. Tech Readiness in Typing.com
Instructions: In your Typing.com account click the Career Prep Tab to access the 9 modules, covering Tech Readiness.

Task 6: Brochure: Hand-Out
This brochure is a Quick Guide to Computer Applications with most of the information you need to know. Includes contact information.

Students will click the button below and complete the form which is their acknowledgement of receipt of the brochure, the syllabus and the viewing the Acceptable Use Policy. All in accordance with district guidelines.

Objective: Students will create and compose and Email Signature in their school email accounts.
According to OCreative Designs, "Having an email signature is like handing a person a business card every time you send an email. You want it to look professional. In the business world, you wouldn’t just hand a prospective client a scrap of blank paper with your contact information scrawled on it! That is not professionalism." |
