What I Assess When You Type. . .
Keyboarding Assessment:
What I am assessing as you type........
1. Student is sitting up straight and feet are flat while positioned firmly under desk.
2. Elbows softly bent and wrists are flat and off of keyboard.
3. Fingers are curved properly on keyboard.
4. Student uses correct finger to strike keys.
5. Student does not look at hands while typing. He/She types from memorization/by feel.
6. Student keeps Home Row fingers, touching the home keys most times even during difficult keystrokes.
7. Type with a fluid motion and/rhythm.
8. Recites letters to his/herself as a memorization exercise to learn the keys of the keyboard.
