Helping me get to know your writing style.
Lesson Objectives:

- Develop answers for open-ended questions
- Brainstorm using paper or word processor
- Utilize a graphic organizer to outline and simplify information
- Stimulate and apply thinking skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency of written communication
- Review, revise & edit open-ended responses using proper style, structure, grammar and format
- Peer review, revise and edit sessions, strongly encouraged
- Apply the District Rubric (below) to open-ended responses
- Implement Best Practices learned from the District-wide Literacy Initiative.

Part 1:
All students must create a folder named Open Response inside your class/course folder.
Save any and all work associated with the Open Response to this folder.
Part 2:
Download & Save the Cover Sheet for your class period to your Open Response Folder. - Open the file & Complete the Form - Fill in the date and your full name.)

Done With the Open Response?
- Proofread your Open Response (OR).
- Print the Open Response (OR) [Printer Name - HP LJ 4200]
- Print your Cover Page.
- Print the Rubric on the Open Response tab of My Webpage.
- Order should be: Cover Page, Rubric, Essay.
- Staple the pack in the order mentioned above.
- Include any graphic organizers or notes you used in this stapled packet.
- Give your total packet to your instructor. There is a basket with class period at the back.
